Climbing Harnesses

Comfort, fit, and the right features for the way you climb.

Tell us where you climb and what size you need, and we will help you find a suitable harness.

Choosing Your Harness

A climbing harness should fit securely above the hips without restricting movement. The best design depends on whether you climb indoors, at sport crags, on long trad routes, or in alpine conditions.

Harness sizing varies between manufacturers. Check the manufacturer's size guide and, where possible, try the harness while wearing the clothing you normally climb in.

Fit Matters

  • The waist belt should sit above your hips and should not pull down over them.
  • Leg loops should feel secure without limiting movement or circulation.
  • Check that buckles are correctly threaded and tightened according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Inspect the harness before every use and retire it according to the manufacturer's guidance.
